Monday’s message from coach Jamie Dixon was clear: TCU’s rebounding and defense are not where they need to be.
That much has been obvious in Eddie Lampkin’s absence, as the Frogs have won the rebounding battle just once since he went down with a high ankle sprain.
That emphasis led to another enthusiastic war drill Monday, followed by a variety of transition defense drills (keep reading) that aimed to hammer home Dixon’s message.
Poll slide
The Frogs remained in the AP poll for a record 10th consecutive week, but they continue to slide down the rankings. TCU checked in at No. 17 on Monday, falling two spots.
TCU has been ranked as high as No. 11 this season, but has gone just 2-2 since that point. The Frogs could make up significant ground in the rankings this week, with games coming up against No. 12 Kansas State and No. 14 Baylor.
