After wrapping up non conference play last Sunday, TCU Soccer was back to Big 12 play Thursday night. TCU welcomed Big 12 newcomer Cincinnati to the conference with 1-0 win.

AJ Hennessey’s penalty kick in the 73rd minute was all TCU needed to get the win in Cincinnati.

Hennessey scored her scored her second goal of the season, and third of her career in the win. This was also Hennessey’s second game winning goal in her career.

From there the Frogs were able to park the bus and get out of Cincinnati with the win earning a big three points in conference play.

Head coach Eric Bell spoke to GoFrogs.com after the game with his thoughts on tonights win.

“It was tougher than I thought it was going to be to play on this surface. It definitely equalized the game a little bit in their favor. But I thought our kids fought. I thought tactically, they did what we asked them to do and we’re able to find a goal in the second half. Really, I thought the first 20 minutes was kind of back and forth. Then from that time, all the way to the goal, I thought we controlled the game. And then after we scored the goal, we just saw it out. Hats off to our group for coming in and putting in a professional performance. Now we have to take care of our bodies and get ready to play against West Virginia.”
