FORT WORTH — The game Saturday was, in essence, over after the first quarter.

TCU started fast against Iowa State, the worst team in the Big 12 Conference, and then had to play out the final 45 minutes and try not to get anyone hurt.

The Cyclones were the pasty their now 4-8, 1-8 record says they were going be. Maybe patsy is too strong. Maybe it’s not strong enough.

It doesn’t matter now. What matters is TCU is 12-0 and a win away from the College Football Playoff.
