After going 13-0 to start the season, the Frogs kick off Big12 play on the road for the first time all year. Dropping Games 1 and 2, Game 3 was a different story even though it looked bleak after giving up a 4 spot in the 1st inning.  The Jayhawks were done scoring after the 1st.

Braeden Sloan gave away the 4 runs on 4 hits and then finished his 2.1 innings strong, handing the ball off to Zach Cawyer giving up 1 hit in 2.2 innings of shutout baseball earning another win to move to 5-0 on the season.

Luke Boyers doubled in the second, scoring Chase Brunson to get the Frogs on the board but it wasn’t until the 6th when the Frogs took the lead.

Anthony Silva, Sam Myers, Kurtis Byrne, and Boyers all drive runs in for a 5 spot in the 6th.  Frogs head into the 7th with a 5-4 lead.

Ben Abeldt worked innings 6,7, and 8 giving up no hits and no runs with 6 strikeouts.  Kyle Ayers closes the game after TCU puts another 8 runs on the board in the 9th.

TCU improves to 14-2 and 1-2 in the Big12.  They head out on the road again on Tuesday across town to Dallas Baptist at 6:30pm before hosting Oklahoma on the weekend as they continue Big12 play at Lupton.

Reaction from head coach, Kirk Saarloos and Zach Cawyer.
