Frogs may have dropped their series against West Virginia this week but the real season starts Tuesday with the Mountaineers again in the first round of the Big12 Championships at 12:30pm at Globe Life Field.  TCU earns the 9th seed and West Virginia is the 4th seed.

Coming up just short in the 9th with a leadoff single by Anthony Silva and a Chase Brunson double that pulled the Frogs within 2 of West Virginia, 6-4.  Luke Boyers scored on a Jack Arthur single but the comeback came up short.

West Virginia was up 2-0 in the first and then added another 4 runs to that lead in the eighth.  “We got singles, they got homers,” head coach Kirk Saarloos mentioned after the game.  On top of some base running and field errors, the Frogs were unable to come out on top and secure the series losing 6-5.

Louis Rodriguez got the loss giving up 2 runs on 2 hits in 4 innings.  Ben Abeldt gave away 4 runs in the 8th.  Hunter Hodges and Zach Cawyer finished the game.
