It’s a sad time for college football as one of the pillars of the sport, Mississippi State coach Mike Leach, passed away Monday after suffering a massive cardiac event at his home Sunday. Leach, one of the pioneers of the Air Raid offense, spent several memorable years as the coach at Texas Tech, and his loss is felt across the Big 12 and beyond.

If you’ve followed the sport, you have a favorite Mike Leach story. Among his most quotable moments are rants about “fat little girlfriends,”comparing his offense to The Art of War, and opining about his own obituary. It’s very likely that Mike Leach made you smile at least once a season.

I recommend giving this video a watch and toasting an unsweet tea and Titos to the mad pirate of college football.
