The hallmark of a good team is their ability to lean on their defense when their offense is having an off night.

That was the case for TCU Volleyball Thursday night as they swept Kansas State 3-0 to open Big 12 conference play.

Brianna Green’s huge night on the block was all the difference for the Frogs in this one. Green recorded 10 blocks in the three sets, only three off the school record set by Sarah Slyvester earlier this season.

Green added five kills on the night as well.

“Her presence has been getting bigger and bigger,” coach Jason Williams said about Brianna Green. “She is very experienced and blocking is what she is good at. It’s really fun right now with both middles getting a lot of good touches at the block.”
