FORT WORTH — Frogs fans who can’t make it to Amon G. Carter Stadium or on the road this football season have a new outlet to get their pregame and postgame fix.

Frogs Today is planning to air live shows before and after each remaining TCU this season, beginning Saturday with the home opener against Tarleton State. The Horned Frogs are coming off a 38-13 season-opening win last week at Colorado.

Former TCU star offensive lineman Marshall Newhouse will serve as the analyst on the shows along with host David Beaudin. Jamie Plunkett will join the pregame shows, which will usually start 90 minutes before kickoff, and a host of players and Frogs Today personalities (Brian Estridge, Jeff Wilson) will be part of the postgame shows.

The debut of the Frogs Today pregame show will start at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Courtside Club patio just off the south concourse at Amon G. Carter Stadium. Athletic director Jeremiah Donati is expected on set.

Newhouse is a Dallas native who played at TCU from 2006 to 2009 and was selected by Green Bay in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He went to Super Bowl XLV in his rookie year at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, where the Packers defeated Pittsburgh.

Newhouse also played for Cincinnati, with former TCU quarterback Andy Dalton, and six other teams: New York Giants, Oakland, Buffalo, Carolina, New Orleans, New England and Tennessee before retiring after the 2020 season.
