FORT WORTH – For only the second time this season, TCU was back in the friendly confines of Garvery Rosenthal Stadium. It did not take long for the Horned Frogs to give the home crowd something to cheer for as 54 seconds into the match, sophomore Bella Diorio raced past the Central Michigan defenders scoring a goal. The goal was the fastest goal recorded to start a match in Eric Bell era at TCU.
Diorio later added the final goal for the Frogs in the second half to give TCU a 3-0 lead. With that goal Diorio notched her first career brace as a Horned Frog.
Seven Castain added a goal as well for TCU, on a short set piece when she crashed the net and was fed perfectly from Oli Pena.
Freshman Liv Geller got the start for the Horned Frogs in net, and notched her second clean sheet in as many starts for TCU.
Grace Coppinger made her first start of the season after suffering a knee injury in spring game, this past spring. Coppinger was named 1st team All-Big 12 in the preseason by the conference.
Up next the Horned Frogs travel east for show down with rival SMU. The match is scheduled for first touch at 8:30 p.m. and can been seen on ESPN+.
