FORT WORTH – Lauren Kellett arguably the best goalkeeper in TCU program history, made history Thursday night. Kellett recorded her 22nd clean sheet of her prestigious career at TCU breaking Emily Alvarado’s record of 21 clean sheets.
Number 22 wasn’t the most challenging clean sheet Kellett has had in her career. Kellett only saw three shots come her way and only one of those shots was on target requiring a save.
“That’s an awesome accomplishment for an awesome young lady and I’m very happy for her,” coach Eric Bell said. “I’m proud of her, she has put in a lot of work and has earned that.”
Kellett’s play has been one of the few bright spots for TCU so far this season, only allowing three goals in four games for the Frogs.
