Lui Maxted and Duncan Chan took care of their doubles match 6-2 while partners Jake Fearnley and Pedro Vives along with Jack Pinnington and Sebastian Gorzny finished at the exact same time with ease.  Gorzny returned to the line-up after recovering from injury in solid fashion helping Pinnington to a 6-3 doubles win.

After winning the first set in all 5 singles matches being played at the time, in the 4th spot, Maxted closed out his match 6-3, 6-3 followed by Pinnington doing the same.  After being down 4-2 in the second set, Pinnington was able to take control of his match at #1, 6-1, 7-5.

Fearnley clinched the NCAA first round for the Frogs at #2, 6-2, 6-2.

Tomas Jirousek was ahead 6-3, 3-2, while Vives won the first set 6-4 and was down 4-1 in the second.

The Frogs will take on Cornell today at 2pm, who eased past Arkansas yesterday which took place before the Frogs took to the purple courts.  The winner advances to the Super-Regionals next weekend.

The No. 4 ranked Horned Frogs come into Saturday’s match at 23-4 overall dominating at home, posting a 10-0 record this season. The No. 35 Cornell men’s tennis team will look to make its first-ever Super Regionals appearance.
