Losing streaks happen in the Big 12, it just comes with the territory.

Eight of the 10 Big 12 schools have lost consecutive conference games this season. Only two schools have winning records on the road (Texas and Baylor), and only one has an unblemished conference home record (Iowa State).

For TCU, the two game losing streak they find themselves on entering Saturday’s contest against Baylor has a legitimate reason. They’ve been without Mike Miles Jr. for the past two weeks as he deals with a knee injury, and Eddie Lampkin hasn’t been at full strength.

As good as TCU’s reserves are – and make no mistake about it, they’re good – things are just different when a team is missing its star.

The good news on that front is that Miles is getting closer to returning.
