ROUND ROCK No. 15 TCU made a loud statement Sunday night in the opening round of the Big 12 tournament.

The Horned Frogs thumped Kansas, 5-1. The five goals are the most TCU has ever scored in Big 12 tournament play and serve as a reminder to the rest of the conference that to win a championship, they will have to go through the Frogs.

Sarah Melcher scored the first two goals of her career, and TCU also saw Kennedy Clountz, Messiah Bright and Dana Reed find the back of the net. Bright scored her 10th goal of the season and 49th of her outstanding career.
