Baseball gets the response they needed to move on in the Big12 Championships.  They earn another game with a 9-4 win over #6 seeded Kansas State.  Ben Abeldt (5 innings, 3 hits, 1 run, 9 strikeouts) gets his first start of the season and regular starter, Louis Rodriguez (3.2 innings, 2 hits, 0 runs, 2 strikeouts) comes out of the bullpen to shut the door on the Wildcats and eliminate them from the tournament.

Freshman, Sam Myers goes 3-4 with 3 RBIs.  “He finds away to get the bat on the ball and finds a way to get on base and get base hits and does a really good job of playing good defense,” head coach, Kirk Saarloos mentioned about Myers.

Saarloos talked a lot about his teams response, not only from situations from today, but also from yesterday.  Next up for the Frogs (33-20 overall) is #7 seed, Kansas tomorrow at 9am.  With a win, they play again at 12:30pm against Oklahoma.  The Big12 Championship is Saturday at 6pm.
