New running backs coach, Jimmy Smith has been in Fort Worth for 2 “good” weeks.  He prides himself on making sure that the room isn’t selfish and they want success out of everyone which is how you get the best out of yourself.

Smith spent the last 4 seasons as running backs coach at Arkansas where 3 of those seasons were with TCU offensive and associate head coach, Kendal Briles.  His 4th season at Arkansas, he was promoted to associate head coach of the Razorbacks.

In 1998 and 1999, as quarterback for Tennessee State, he led the Tigers to Ohio Valley Championships in both seasons.

Running back, Cam Cook is in his second year as a Horned Frog, last year playing in 9 games before being sidelined by injury.
