Spring Football Day 9: Sonny Dykes at the podium

Head coach, Sonny Dykes is encouraged after Day 9 of spring ball.  The competitive environment and the atmosphere of the team stands our for Dykes. Daytona 500 Winner, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. was on site at the practice today.  Dykes will be the grand marshal at Texas Motor Speedway this Sunday at the Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 400.

Memphis transfer, Cam Smith is a highlight on the defense with good instincts and plays fast.

Tight ends, Lafayette Kaiuway and Chase Curtis are big bodies, that play physical that are making the most of their opportunities.  Wide receiver,  Jack Bech is the most valuable offensive player thus far in the spring.

The defense continues to improve and the off-season made a big difference in teaching the guys coming into the spring practices referencing Marcel Brooks.

Quarterbacks Ken Seals and Hauss Hejny responded well after a couple of inconsistent practices on Friday and Tuesday.

Bud Clark add so much to the team with his love and appreciation for the game leading this defense to something special.

Experience in the cornerback room with the play of Avery Helm, Channing Canada, JT Broughton, and Vernon Glover has been a bright spot.

Family is important to the culture of TCU football and guys like Savion Williams and Bud Clark who have children, it makes the environment even more special.
