SOUTH BEND, Ind. – TCU fought ’em on ice Saturday, encountering less than ideal weather in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, but a one-hour weather delay amid snow and sub-freezing temperatures didn’t slip up the Horned Frogs.
Camryn Lancaster scored in the game’s third minutes, and TCU made it stand up with solid defensive pressure and excellent goalkeeping by Lauren Kellett to upend Michigan State 1-0.
The fifth-seeded Frogs advanced to the Sweet 16, where they will play top seed and quadrant host Notre Dame at 5:30 p.m. Sunday
