FORT WORTH — Senior linebacker Marcel Brooks will miss the rest of the season after having surgery on his right knee Tuesday stemming from a first-half injury last weekend against Oklahoma State, TCU coach Sonny Dykes said.

Brooks played in only three games this season, Oct. 1 vs. Oklahoma, Oct. 8 at Kansas and Saturday. He broke a rib early in fall camp but brought depth back to the position, which had already lost Terrence Cooks Jr. and Thomas Armstrong for the season.
