Jonathan Bax is the latest 2023 TCU commitment, as he made his announcement via Twitter on the Fourth of July.
Many might look at this announcement and see the 6-foot-2, 230-pound prospect decommitting from Southern Miss and bursting on the Power 5 recruiting scene really late and think, “Ho-hum. Nice player.”
However, I feel strongly that when we look back at this 2023 class a few years from now, Bax could be the steal of the class, not just for TCU but throughout the Big 12.
With no other context, if you looked at the following qualities in evaluating a player, you would think this is a top prospect in the country.
