FORT WORTH – For the Frogs it feels good to be home again.
For the first time in almost a month TCU Soccer woke up on a Thursday morning not in a hotel room.
“I woke up today and I was like, I’m home, this isn’t a hotel room,” Skylar Heinrich said. “I’m not having a hotel breakfast, I can make my own breakfast, go to class, get treatment. It felt amazing.”
The home cooking served the Frogs well as they take down Kansas State 2-0 Thursday night.
Seven Castain scored her team leading sixth goal of the season in the win.
Heinrich scored a goal in her second consecutive game to give the Frogs some breathing room at the end.
Gracie Brian assisted on the Heinrich goal, adding to her all-time career leading total of 26.
The Frogs improved to 3-0-1 in conference play with the win and sit just two points out of first place.
That’s now four straight wins for the Frogs, things are starting to click for the Frogs.
“I think early on we still had to figure out the lineup,” coach Eric Bell said. “We still had to figure out how to win soccer games against some really good teams and I think we learned some lessons the hard way.”
