TCU Soccer prepares for their conference home opener on Thursday, when they welcome Kansas State to town.

The Frogs have not been home for a Thursday night match in almost a month.

“It’s time,” coach Eric Bell said. “We’ve been on the road for a little bit and now it’s time to be in the comforts of the Garvery.”

Being on the road for a little bit is an understatement for the Frogs. TCU has played more road matches than home so far this season. The Frogs have opened Big 12 Conference play with three straight road matches. That is first time Bell has had to do that since taking over the Frogs in 2011.

“I think it was super challenging,” Bell said. “I’m pretty proud of how our team handled the situation with the different types of surfaces and environments. Happy to be back home.”
