TCU Volleyball falls to #6 Texas in 5 sets

After taking the first set convincingly, 25-14, Texas fought back to win the next one by a narrow margin, 25-22.  The Frogs and Horns traded punches the next 3 sets and the #6 Longhorns were able to close out the match with a 15-13.

Head coach, Jason Williams said after the match, “There are no moral victories.”  We hear from him as well as senior, Audrey Nalls and freshman, Lily Nicholson.  Nalls had 24 kills and 14 digs and she mentioned the team committed to not letting the ball hit the ground.  Nicholson got her first start filling the shoes of Riley Buckley and did it like she had been starting all year.  She finished the match with 56 assists.

The Frogs set a record with an attendance of 7,412 for the biggest crowd for volleyball and any women’s sports team at TCU.

Looking at the numbers too, the Frogs lead the Horns in points 89.0 to 74.5, in kills 74 to 62, in aces 5 to 2, in assists 69-58 and finally digs 65-58.  First set Frogs 25-14, second set Horns 25-22, third set Frogs 25-21, forth set Horns 25-23 and the final set Horns 15-13.
