Sometimes you take a bite out of the little apple, sometimes the apple bites back.

TCU Volleyball loses their first conference game of the season in five set to Kansas State.

Defensively the Frogs got another terrific effort in the loss. TCU recorded 20 blocks in the match, that has only been done six other times in program history. The 20 blocks is also a Big 12 best this season.

“The blocking has been great so far,” coach Jason Williams said. “We’re relying on it a little too much. It’s going to help us down the road, but super proud of the blockers following the game plan or technique wise doing a good job. It’s awesome we are racking up the blocks and the defense is doing their job.”

Another person that is doing her job is Melanie Parra as she continues to amaze even in defeat. Parra recorded her first career 20/20 game with 22 kills and 21 digs. She’s only the fourth player to ever do that in TCU’s program history. That feat hasn’t been reached since 2000.
