SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Rust Cohle had it right. Time is, indeed, a flat circle.

On the eve of the VRBO Fiesta Bowl, Frog fans have heard the familiar refrain.

TCU is too small. The opponent is too big.

The Frogs’ defense will struggle against the opponent’s elite run game. The opponent’s defensive front will bend TCU’s offensive line to their will.

Almost 12 years ago to the date of the 2011 Rose Bowl, TCU once again faces off against a Big Ten champion in a high-stakes bowl game. This time, instead of the red and white of Wisconsin, it’s the maize and gold of the Michigan Wolverines.

The Frogs sit as a 7 1/2 point underdog, almost identical to the spread when they faced Texas. TCU fans know how that game ended, and they’re hoping for the same thing again on Saturday.

Here’s what to expect when the Frogs and Wolverines take the field.
