They came back for a reason. The loss last year to Arizona, in San Diego, in round two of the NCAA Tournament, stung all off-season. Chuck O’Bannon has always said that was the one reason he returned -he wanted to erase that memory. He gets a chance tonight at 9:05p versus the #11 seed, and fittingly another team from the Grand Canyon state, Arizona State.
That’s the first step in wiping the memory clean, but it will not be an easy task.
