TCU senior cornerback Tre’Vius Hodges Tomlinson was named a semifinalist for the Paycom Jim Thorpe Award on Monday. The award is presented annually to the nation’s top defensive back.

Hodges-Tomlinson was named to multiple preseason All-America teams and is a two-time First-Team All-Big 12 selection.

Hodges-Tomlinson has 25 tackles, including one for loss, with an interception and four passes defended this season. The 25 tackles this season bring his career total to 100, to go with 27 passes defended and three interceptions.

Hodges-Tomlinson is following in the footsteps of former TCU safety and now Las Vegas Raider Tre’von Moehrig, who was the 2020 recipient of the Paycom Jim Thorpe Award.
