Women’s hoops take on UCF as they return to the Schollmaier on Tuesday at 6:30pm.  At 14-4 overall and 1-6 in the Big12, the Frogs held open try-outs over the weekend in order to identify walk-ons to add to an injury depleted roster.

One of those added is TCU Volleyball star, Sarah Sylvester.

Sylvester is a 6-3 sophomore, middle blocker from Livonia, MI. She was one of two players to start in all 32 matches on the season and her 138 total blocks on the season is also the sixth-best single-season total in program history.

Sylvester was ranked the No. 66th overall prep player nationally in the class of 2022 by PrepVolleyball.com, graduating from Marian High School and leading the Mustangs to consecutive Volleyball State Championships in 2020 and 2021.

TCU Women’s Basketball head coach, Mark Campbell is fortunate to not only get a superior athlete, but Sylvester was a standout on the basketball court, where she earned back-to-back All Catholic High School league honors and now gets to help Campbell’s team as they continue Big12 conference play on Tuesday.
