Due to injuries, the TCU Women’s Basketball team had to cancel Wednesday nights home game against Kansas State and their upcoming weekend game at Iowa State. There are not enough players available currently. Notable injuries are point guard, Jaden Owens who suffered an ACL tear and will miss the remainder of the season along with DaiJa Turner whose ankle requires surgery and is also out for the 2023-2024 season. Senior center, Sedona Prince remains unavailable with a broken finger and will return soon.
The team sits at 14-4 overall and 1-6 in Big 12 play as the 2 cancelled games go down as forfeits. As mentioned on Big12sports.com, the member institution unable to field a team will forfeit the contest if no extraordinary circumstances exist. As a result, Iowa State and Kansas State will each gain a win in the league standings while TCU picks up two losses. Overall records will not be impacted as per NCAA policy.
Open try-outs will be held tonight and Friday from 6pm-8pm per X @tcuwbb. For full-time students interested in walking-on for the remainder of the 2023-24 season. Contact Jessie Craig at JESSIE.CRAIG@tcu.edu for additional details. More information at FrogsToday.com to come.
